What does a average Daycare day consist of?

We follow a similar routine however everyday is slightly different at Blissful Cavalier Resort, tailored to the dogs ages & abilities we are caring for, with slightly different walk times, nap times, playtimes and snack time, this helps build resilience & adaptability in your dogs.

We use downtime, nap times & reward settled behaviour, a dog who knows how to be calm & is relaxed around others is better able to cope with the hustle & bustle of life.

We occasionally hire various fields within a 10mile radius of BS35 5RJ. The Dogs get to have fun in safer enclosed paddocks for off lead playtimes which can include, group bonding, exploration, calming sniffing, sand digging, log climbing, tunnel exploring and basic training in approximately of 2 acres of fenced off pastureland.

On lead walks, woodland riverside or park walks learning to walk calmly together in a small group setting, gaining confidence in different environments while meeting other dogs out in the public. 

Our large patio and rain shelters provide the year round ability to play outside in the fresh air in any weather minus the mud bath! The patio has the added bonus of helping to file their nails while they play.

We use Puzzle feeders/games to engage their brains and work for their snacks. A well balanced dogs day includes some brain engaging puzzle activities. 

The Bungalow is centrally heated, clean, warm & cosy inside, air conditioned on very hot days, with gentle soothing music played to help dogs who may be reactive to noise cope and minimise barking.

Socialisation, new places, new experiences, new people, new doggy friends & a positive experience while being away from their owners in a carefully managed environment all helps build their confidence.

And of course at Blissful Cavalier Resort lots and lots of love, fuss, attention & cuddle time come as standard!! ❤️

How many dogs can you Daycare at once?

We have a maximum of 6 Toy breeds, usually made up of my own two girls, a Rescue Ruby Cavalier King Charles & CKC Cross, 2 Daycare Dogs and 2 staying for Overnight boarding, this gives your Dogs all the fun excitement and activity of a daycare day throughout the day and a relaxed quieter calmer evening with more one to one attention overnight.

Is my dog suitable for your Daycare?

We can only accept, dog friendly, vaccinated Toy breeds who are under 10kg, I believe it’s important to give little dogs who may feel intimidated or be inadvertently bowled over by larger or more powerful breeds a space to call their own & to play with similarly sized friends. We can’t accept any dog over 10kg.

Can we get occasional Daycare?

Ad hoc and occasional daycare bookings are possible, subject to availability however to help dogs settle quickly & minimise separation anxiety on longer overnight sleepovers, It’s important that dogs who overnight come to daycare as regularly as possible!
